Is Inhaler Permissible During Fasting?

If a patient believes that inhaler is used with wrong techniques (for example, the patient tasted the substances in the throat and swallowed the substances),  the medicines may have reach the stomach through the mouth and invalidate the fast. Therefore, the patient is required to make up for the day he missed later on.

When fasting, Muslims are refrained from putting anything into body cavities such as mouth, nose, ears, anus and vagina into a certain limit. Medicines That Invalidate The Fast

 

During the month of Ramadan, a Muslim must refrain from any intake of food or drink, and that includes medicines. Nevertheless, from a medical and religion point of view, in cases where one is sick and required to take certain form of medicines, the person should not fast and is required to make up for the days he missed later on.
